Deepal S07 — Fluids, Capacities & Specifications
The S07’s e-axle takes Castrol BOT805C EV — 1.0 L, every 3 years / 60,000 km — and its cooling system a substantial 13 L of LEC-Ⅱ-40. But the sheet’s real trap sits in the air-conditioning row: the manual lists two refrigerants for two variant codes — R134a for the SC6471EAHBEV, R1234yf for the SC6471EALBEV — both at 550±10 g. Same quantity, two gases that must never meet in one system. Before any regas, the variant code decides — not the badge, not the model year.

One transcription note before the workshop counter: four of the fluid names on this page are set differently in the E07’s manual, and we quote each book as it prints rather than harmonise them. Two of the four differ only in punctuation and character choice: the coolant reads LEC-Ⅱ-40 here, with the Roman-numeral character, and LEC-II-40 there, with two capital I’s; the air-conditioning gas reads R134a here and R-134a there, a hyphen apart. The other two differ in the characters themselves: brake fluid reads THZY4 here and HZY4 there — DOT4 alongside is the common ground — and the reducer oil reads Castrol BOT805C EV here and Castrol BOT 805C there. Whether any of those pairs is one product or two, our archived pages don’t say — so we don’t either: order against the string printed in your own car’s manual, and if a parts search returns nothing, try the other spelling before concluding the part doesn’t exist. Where are the change intervals above printed in your own book? Not in the fluid table — the manual keeps them in its “Daily maintenance schedule”, the same split the E07’s manual uses. Check an interval claim there, not against the fluid page. And every fluid above is included in the capped service prices — the S07 service schedule shows what each visit costs.
Is BOT805C the same oil as BYD’s BOT384? (No — and “the Castrol EV oil” is not a part number)
Count only the oils our pages record for electric drive units and reducers — not multi-speed gearboxes — and Castrol’s BOT line already runs under four numbers: BOT 351 LV (MG ZS EV), BOT 352 B1 (Ora 03), BOT-383 (BYD Seal and Sealion 7) and BOT384 (Atto 3, Dolphin and the Shark 6’s rear drive unit). The S07’s BOT805C EV is the fifth in that group. Widen the scope and the brand gets less useful, not more: the same BOT badge also covers MG3’s 3-speed hybrid gearbox (BOT794) and its manual gearbox (BOT503) — different components, different fluids, six BOT numbers already published on this site before the S07 adds its own. A workshop holding one tin of “the Castrol EV oil” is covered for one of the five reducer specifications and not the other four. Match the number, not the brand.
Which refrigerant does your S07 take? (the refrigerant split)

Both rows read 550±10 g, which is exactly why the split works as a trap: the quantity looks interchangeable and the gas is not — R134a and R1234yf must not be mixed. Regassing is workshop territory; the owner’s job is one line long: know which variant code your car carries, and have the workshop confirm it before a hose is connected.

Two scales, one motor — the rated-versus-peak mismatch. 60 kW is the rated figure; 160 kW is the peak, and the manual prints both on the same page. When you compare this car with the E07, line rated up against rated and peak against peak: setting the S07’s 60 kW beside the E07’s 252 kW compares two different measurements, not two cars.
