GWM in the Gulf — Four Families, One Ladder

GWM’s UAE site (gwmuae.com) publishes one central warranty page covering all four families, and it reads like a ladder: Haval and Tank at 6 years / 200,000 km, Poer at 6 / 150,000, Wingle at 3 / 100,000 — plus the line that stops you mid-scroll: Tank engines and transmissions carry 10 years / 1,000,000 km. Saudi Arabia shows the same 6/200k on model pages but has no central warranty page — that half is partial, and we say so below.

UAE: the full ladder

FamilyVehicle warrantyExtras
Haval6 years / 200,000 km
Tank6 years / 200,000 kmEngine & transmission: 10 years / 1,000,000 km
Poer (pickup)6 years / 150,000 km
Wingle (workhorse)3 years / 100,000 km
Tank 300 HEV battery8 years / 160,000 kmThird battery configuration we’ve documented, after Australia and South Africa
The commercial ladder: same badge, three rungs — 200,000 km for the SUVs, 150,000 for the Poer, 100,000 and half the years for the Wingle. The cover shrinks exactly as the duty cycle grows. If you’re buying a GWM to work it, price the rung, not the badge.

The market inversion — Australia vs the Gulf

In Australia GWM sells 7 years / unlimited km; in the Gulf it’s 6 years / 200,000 km — a year less, and a cap where there was none. The Gulf’s consolation is bigger than it looks, though: no Australian GWM gets the Tank’s million-kilometre engine and transmission programme. Two markets, two opposite bets — Australia backs the whole car for longer; the Gulf backs the Tank’s drivetrain much further.

Saudi Arabia: what’s verified, what’s missing

haval.com.sa and tank.sa print 6 years / 200,000 km on individual model pages — consistent with the UAE — but publish no central warranty page. And one number we could not verify at all: the H6 HEV battery warranty. It appears to live in a PDF brochure we couldn’t retrieve without an in-country session; until we read it, that line stays unwritten. We say so rather than guess.

What about service pricing and handbooks?

Published service prices, plans or owner handbooks on either country’s sites? None.
