Dragon Auto Guide — Gulf (Saudi Arabia & UAE)
The same verification standards we apply in Australia and South Africa, now for the Gulf — Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The launch layer is ownership paperwork: warranties, service intervals and the contracts brands actually publish. Everything below was read on the brands’ official Gulf websites and archived on 25 August 2026. Independent. Technical. Evidence-based. Owner-focused.
Why are there no service-cost pages here?
Because no Chinese brand we verified publishes service pricing in numbers anywhere in the Gulf — not in Saudi Arabia, not in the UAE. Australia prints capped prices; South Africa prints service-plan terms; the Gulf prints neither. A cost page would have to be invented, so none exists. What is published — generously, in places — is warranty text, and that is where the real differences live.

What we can’t publish yet — and why
- Chery Saudi Arabia: cheryksa.com refused every connection at network level (confirmed twice, 25 August 2026). No official text means no page — we say so rather than guess.
- Chery UAE: cheryuae.com (AW Rostamani) is live but publishes no warranty, service or handbook figures at all. Press coverage quotes numbers; press coverage is not a warranty document, and we don’t print unverified figures.
- Omoda & Jaecoo UAE: the official warranty-terms page returns a 403 and the service portal refuses connections. Two distributors exist; zero verifiable terms — declared as a gap on the brand page.
How the Gulf differs — the 60-second version
- One warranty, two countries: MG and BYD publish unified terms across Saudi Arabia and the UAE — the BYD pages are textually identical twins.
- Six years is the handshake; kilometres are the negotiation: every passenger-vehicle warranty we verified runs six years (GWM’s Wingle workhorse, at three, is the commercial exception). The caps run from 150,000 to 250,000 km — and that spread is the whole story.
- No published service prices: the recurring cost of ownership is invisible on official Gulf sites. Until that changes, interval length is your best cost proxy — and MG’s is the shortest.
