MG HS Service Schedule & Costs

✓ Technically reviewed by Daniel Wei Chen — Senior Chinese Automotive Diagnostics & Repair Specialist, Sydney, Australia · 19 August 2026.

The MG HS is serviced every 15,000 km or 12 months in Australia — where MG publishes fixed capped prices for the first five services: $292–$804 for petrol, $307–$819 for the hybrids — and every 15,000 miles or 12 months in the UK. Same number, different unit: 15,000 miles is about 24,100 km, so a UK-schedule HS runs roughly 60% further between services. If you’re reading forum advice from another country, check which market’s schedule it assumes first.

Australia — intervals and capped prices

Interval: every 15,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first — identical across all current HS variants. MG Australia’s published capped prices:

575,000 km / 60 mo$292$307$307

Prices in AUD inc. GST, as published in MG Australia’s official Service Pricing Guide (retrieved 19 August 2026). Two things worth noticing: the hybrids cost exactly $15 more per service than petrol at every visit, and service 4 — the four-year service — is nearly triple the routine ones. Budget for it.

United Kingdom — intervals

Interval: every 15,000 miles or every year, whichever comes first — MG’s standard schedule for current models, as stated on MG Motor UK’s official servicing page. UK servicing uses dealer-set pricing or MG’s service plans rather than a national capped-price table.

What’s in each service?

The per-service item checklists are not published on either official page. We are obtaining the detailed schedule sheets and will publish the breakdown once verified — we don’t guess at maintenance items. What we can already tell you: the oil spec is on our HS oil & fluids page, verified from three official manuals.

First-generation HS (2019–2024)?

The pricing table above is MG Australia’s current guide and applies to the current line-up. If you run a first-generation HS, your intervals follow your market’s owner documentation for that year — confirm with your dealer before assuming the table applies.
