Chery E5 / Omoda E5 — Owner’s Guide

Written and edited by Ethan Cole, Editor-in-Chief · ✓ Technically reviewed by Daniel Wei Chen — Senior Chinese Automotive Diagnostics & Repair Specialist, Sydney · 20 August 2026.
⚠ UK recall: Omoda E5s are covered by the UK driveshaft-nut inspection (R/2026/013) — details here.

The E5 — sold as Omoda E5 and, in MY26 form, also badged Chery E5 — is the electric member of the Omoda 5 family, and its ownership math runs on different rules: services every 20,000 km (double the petrol Omoda’s interval), odd-year services at just $149, and capped coverage stretching to 140,000 km — the longest in Chery’s Australian range. No engine oil, no spark plugs: an EV schedule is inspections, brake fluid, filters and software.
